For Immediate Release

Florida Hospital Waterman announces its Third Annual “Pinking Ceremony” to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Join us as we celebrate the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month by tinting our fountain and lighting our canopy pink in honor of the many lives touched by breast cancer.

The event will be held on September 25 at the main entrance of the hospital from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., and will include light refreshments and a mini-health expo.  The “pinking” ceremony will be held at 12:00 noon with guest speakers including medical oncologist Ahmed Al-Hazzouri, M.D., radiologist Ramaswami Krishnan, M.D., and a breast cancer survivor.

As we remember the lives lost to breast cancer and celebrate the lives of breast cancer survivors, the fountain and canopy will remain pink throughout the month of October as reminders of the importance of quality cancer care and research.
