Florida Hospital Waterman announces its First Annual “Pinking Ceremony” to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Join us as we celebrate the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month by tinting our fountain and lighting our canopy pink in honor of the many lives touched by breast cancer.
The “Pinking Ceremony” will be held on September 30th at 12:00 noon at the main entrance of the hospital. Guest speakers include cancer survivor Tammy Jones, radiologist Ramaswami Krishnan, M.D., radiation oncologist Robert Purdon, M.D., breast care coordinator Jackie Barrett, R.N., and chaplain Faye Rose.
As we remember the lives lost to breast cancer and celebrate the lives of breast cancer survivors, the fountain and canopy will remain pink throughout the month of October as reminders of the importance of quality cancer care and research.
