FHW Eases the Burden of Rising Gas Prices
As a gesture of appreciation for choosing Florida Hospital Waterman as their place of employment, FHW distributed Sunoco gas cards valued at $100 to all full time and part time employees on May 22, 2008.

This incentive was given to employees to ease the burden of rising gas prices, and was a complete surprise to the staff. A food service employee commented, “This is like being on the Oprah show!  Now I know how those people feel.”

Ken Mattison, President and CEO, said, “Some of our employees live over 50 miles from our hospital, and they choose to come and work for us.  We appreciate that very much, particularly after the difficult budget constraints we experienced at the end of 2007, and our extremely busy first quarter in 2008.”

An American-based company, Sunoco was selected to help boost the economy in Lake County, where approximately 85% of Florida Hospital Waterman’s employees reside.
