TAVARES -- If you're older than 50 and looking for a job, take note: Florida Hospital Waterman was named this week as one of the Best Employers for Workers Over 50 by AARP.
The Tavares hospital was one of 50 businesses across the country named for the award by an independent panel, according to Kathy Marma, an AARP spokeswoman.
The hospital was recognized for offering flex time, job-sharing opportunities and phased retirement, according to AARP.
Hospital officials said that 38 percent of its staff is 50 years or older and its oldest employee is 77.
