Peter Edelstein, M.D. has joined Florida Hospital Waterman in the role of Vice President/Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Edelstein received board certification in General Surgery and Colon & Rectal Surgery. He has practiced in both the private community and academic settings, most recently as a surgical faculty member at Stanford University Medical Center, where he was honored with several teaching awards. His surgical practice focused on patients suffering from cancer of the gastrointestinal tract as well as on victims of trauma and those in the surgical Intensive Care Unit. For the last ten years, Dr. Edelstein has served full time as a business executive in Silicon Valley, most recently as President & Chief Executive Officer of a private surgical device company.
